So I am back in WI and started grad school this past week! Which means my life just got a wholeeee lot crazier. But, I managed to get in quite a bit of running this week! So, without further ado, here is the recap of the past 2 weeks:

Week 14:

Monday, August 20th – Rest

Tues – 6 miles

Wed – Rest

Thurs – 8

Fri – Rest

Sat – Rest

Sun – 3 miles

for a sad total of only 17 miles 😦 this was the week I was packing and moving back out here, so it was too chaotic to run! 😦

Week 15:

Monday, August 27th – 9 miles

Tues – 8

Wed – 6

Thurs – Rest

Fri – Rest

Sat – 16 miles!!!

Sun – Not sure yet!

Which means my total for the week is 39 miles!!! I am very excited about that. I have a half marathon race next saturday that I am looking forward to as well! Sorry this blog has really gone down the drain in the past month or so…. life is getting in the way!

Alright, so as you can tell, I’ve been insanely busy yet again! Here is the recap of the last two weeks…

Week 12:

Monday August 6th – 9 miles

Thurs – Rest

Sun – Rest

For a sad total of only 25 miles 😦

and Week 13:

Monday, August 13th- Rest

Tues – 9

Wed – 10

Thurs – Rest

Fri – 4

Sat – Rest

Sun – 14!!!

For a total of 37 miles! Much better than week 12. But boy am I sore! anddddd I went to the doctor last week… I have both shin splints and plantar faciitis. Soooo the marathon should be that much more fun 😛

Hey everyone,

So…. the past two weeks have been chaotic, to say the least. I worked 86 hours in the past two weeks, ran a ton, had both sides of the family in town, and my brothers moving out in a week to start college. So unfortunately, this blog didn’t get enough attention. Sooooo without further ado, here is my recap of the past two weeks of running:

Week 10:

Mon, July 23rd – 5 miles

Tues & Wed – Rest

Thurs – 8

Fri – 4

Sat – 12

Sun – 4

For a total of 33 miles!

And week 11:

Mon, July 30th – 6 miles

Tues – Rest

Wed – Rest

Thurs – Rest

Fri – 8

Sat – 6

Sun – Rest

For a sad total of 20 miles 😦 Needless to say, this was a crazy week at work and unfortunately my running suffered. BUT, I have more time this week to run and I can’t wait to get my mileage up again!

Okay, this week was crazy! My relatives are here from out of town and I worked a ton, so I only got 3 runs in! Very hectic week…

For a whopping total of 25 miles! I am definitely shooting for much better this week…

Alright, here’s the recap of this week!

Mon: Rest

Tues: 4

Wed: 6

Thurs: 6

Fri: 3

Sat: Rest

Sun: 11 miles

I’m so excited to be on week 8! I am almost half way done with the training!!! I only have 16 more training runs that are longer than 10 miles! Also, big news: I reached the 200 mile mark on my training! This includes everything I’ve ran since I got my new shoes, which is basically since the beginning of April! I think I’m on mile 217 or something like that!

So, unfortunately, this week marks the return of my shin splints!!! I had them in high school when I ran cross country and track. I couldn’t get rid of them for two and a half years so I took a 2 year hiatus from running. Then I started running again my first year of college and have been running since. BUT, they are back! I really didn’t miss them. But oh well…. I might take a break after the marathon until January so that they can heal. Until then, lots of stretching and icing! I might even get some tape so I can start taping for long runs…

Today (Monday), I took the day to rest because my legs were so dead from the 11 yesterday! Work was hectic and running around all day didn’t help. So hopefully the 6 miler will go well tomorrow.

Look for another inspiration post this week! Sorry I never posted one this week, I worked the past 5 days or so and I’ve been busy!

For a whopping total of 34 miles! The 12 miler is a personal distance record! I am very sore today but excited for week 8! I can’t believe I’m only 3 weeks away from the halfway point in training! …and only 1.1 miles away from running a half marathon!

Well, I have work in the morning so I’m hitting the hay! Night everyone! Happy running 😀

For a total of 20 miles! I was supposed to run 10 miles today but work was so exhausting, so I’m going to sub it in for the rest day this tuesday. I’m so excited to run it! and next weekend i have a 12 miler! im nearly half way in mileage!

Sorry for the short post but I’m gonna get some zzzzz’s before work tomorrow. Night!
